Where the name comes from
Long ago, at the foot of a mountain, a dokkaebi (a Korean goblin) shaped a cup out of clay. Whatever you put in it came back out doubled. One became two.
People called it dokkaebi-ga bijeun jan, the cup a dokkaebi made. Dobijan, for short.
Why we chose it
Good things grow when they are shared. What one person knows becomes many people's once it is a book. Teach someone, and now there is one more person who can teach. Each of the four things we do is an attempt to work like that cup.
